Success Tips a la Tony Soprano

I didn’t really care when the Soprano’s series ended. Frankly, it wasn’t violent enough for me. My mafia favorites have more plotting, deceit, and beatings (but, that’s just me).

However, Neil Patel at Quick Sprout is apparently getting something out of it. He is only on season two at this point but he managed to extract nearly a dozen tips that you can use in life and business. Here are two of them:

    • Gain a backbone – if you don’t stand up for yourself people will just walk all over you. If you let people walk all over you it will not stop and it will not get you where you want to be in life.

  • Show some respect – in every industry there are always a few individuals that are looked up to. There usually is a reason for this and instead of being jealous or talking trash, you need to start showing some respect. Without those industry leaders your industry probably would not be where it is today.

I chose these two examples intentionally as both of them are absolutely critical to your success. The trick is to be able to execute concurrently. Imagine for a second trying to show respect to someone without entirely giving up your backbone.

Give it some thought and then read the rest of Tony Soprano’s Top 11 Tips for Success at Quick Sprout.
