We all love when things are free. The hobby known as extreme couponing works hard to get drastic deals, and to combine deals so that things are significantly reduced. At a store like Wal Mart, where food and other items already have a large mark down, there are situations where you can use the strategies that extreme couponers use to bring food very close to free. Here is how they do it:

1. Scan the stores for all of the published deals:

Look for all of the items that have a massive markdown. Usually your best bets for free, close to free, and even a little bit of money back sometimes are items that are within the $1-2 range after the markdown is complete.

2. Watch for Coupon Multipliers to Sweeten the Deal: These can be things that double or triple your coupon power. They can also be things that give you a certain amount of money back based on an amount that is spent. Spend $50 and get $10 off, for example.

3. Scan the manufacturers sites for rebates:

Look for money back coupons after purchase of items. These can be found online, they can be found on the websites of certain manufacturers, and they can be found in the advertisements that stores send in the mail. By finding these, this is the true way to get free items. The trick, once this is done, is to find a deal where an item at Walmart is below the price of the rebate. You can still turn in your proof of purchase, and you will actually receive money back for purchasing their product in the mail. If you buy an item for $1.50, and you get a $2 rebate with proof of purchase, then the item is not just free anymore. You have been paid $0.50 for buying it. This is the ultimate goal of extreme couponers- many of them have figured out how to use their hobby to make money back when they go shopping. With enough of these items, a single shopping trip can net a person $10-12, and let them take home a grocery cart full of items at no charge.

Great Sites that Help People Coupon:

There are a number of sites that help people. For example, the Krazy Koupon lady discusses the deals of the week, and divides her comments store by store Snap by Groupon sends great deals that are not store dependent straight to your phone. Look around, find your favorites, and keep returning to them.
