Just use Normal Soap – it’s cheaper and it works
This may end up to being an annual savings of like $20 but there is a larger point. First, here is what I'm talking about:
If you choose “antibacterial” products because you trust them to kill germs, think again. According to recent studies, antiseptic ingredients added to numerous products are not effective and may actually be harmful.
In 2005, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) panel concluded that there is “no added benefit” from using antimicrobial products over plain soap and water.
I know there is a study for everything and that the soap companies probably have a rebuttel, but how many things do you buy today, simply because of the marketing? The term “Anti”-ANYTHING gets you to automatically think it's better and 99% of the time you are paying a premium to get this “better” product.
I think the point is to pay for results. If you want to try something to identify the results, that's fine. But, if the more expensive product isn't head and shoulders above the cheap option, put the money in your pocket.
Just irritating – my house is full of this soap because I fell for the ploy.
