Our team reviews every submission to confirm the business is a genuine fit for the category and meets the Dumb Little Man Awards standard. This is not a formality — we take the integrity of the nominee list seriously. You will be notified of your nomination status within 5 business days.

You are confirmed as an official nominee
Once your nomination is confirmed you receive official nominee status. Your business is added to the live public leaderboard and you receive your official nominee badge — ready to display immediately across your website, social media, and marketing materials.

Your advisory panel member reviews the nominees
The advisory panel member assigned to your category reviews all confirmed nominees. Their role is to ensure the strongest businesses are surfaced before the public vote begins.

Public voting opens
Once the nomination period closes, the public voting leaderboard goes live. Anyone can vote — one vote per verified email address. This is your moment to rally your community and let the public decide. Voting runs for two full months — September 1 through October 31.
The leaderboard is live, public, and updated in real time throughout the entire voting period.

Winners are announced
At the close of the voting period, the nominee with the most votes in each category is named the Dumb Little Man Awards 2026 People's Choice Winner — announced publicly across the Dumb Little Man platform and social media channels.
Your nominee badge is yours permanently regardless of the outcome. The recognition does not end when voting does.

We look for businesses that are genuinely active in their category with a real customer or audience presence. Size does not matter — community trust does. If your business is real, active, and operating with integrity, it belongs on this leaderboard.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes. The Dumb Little Man Awards is a self-nomination program. You know your business best — tell us your story directly.
When does voting happen?
Voting opens September 1 and runs through October 31. Every confirmed nominee appears on the public leaderboard. Anyone can vote once per verified email address.
What do I receive if I don't win?
Your nominee badge is yours permanently. Your placement on the Dumb Little Man Awards page remains live. The recognition you receive as a nominee does not expire.
Is this only for large businesses?
No. The program was designed to be accessible to businesses of any size. What matters is not your size — it is whether your community genuinely believes in what you have built.
