My style of buying a car is very similar to what this guy says. He is simply much more in-depth and explains it much better than I could in writing.

I will say that I do it all online and in e-mail. If someone won't give me a price via email, I don't do business with them. This allows me to hit 15 dealers in 15 minutes and eliminate the 75% that give me a hassle in the first encounter.
