If you want to make friends at work, don't do this. If you are a manager don't act like as if you are wearing this even though you aren't. I know you may want to, but really. When employees talk, listen. Shut down email, stop the internet addiction, and plain old listen!
I'm sorry, I had to share this...
It's old but I am trying to make a point with the whole manager thing. If you aren't managing people today, you will be someday. Take a step back and see if this equates to your actions.
