Find eBay's Accidental Deals with Typotracker

ebayI am still partial to Misspellr but there are alternatives to searching eBay while taking advantage of misspellings. For novice eBayers, let's pretend you are searching for a Ralph Lauren Sweater. Well, when people are selling their cute little sweaters on eBay, many of them spell "Lauren" incorrectly. What this means is that no one sees their auction! Subsequently, there are no bids and thus no competition for you.

That's where you come in. By hunting for these misspellings, you can pick up a real RL sweater simply because the seller named it "Ralph Luaren". See how it works?

So here is another site that can help you do that. The site is named Typotracker. I did a simple search for Black & Decker, which is a fairly common name in the US. Here is the result (this image may not be great) :

When you click on a search, it shows all of the possible variations of your search. So essentially your misspelling search is targeted on a few dozen auctions as opposed to several million.

To give it a shot, go to TypoTracker. Before you buy anything on eBay, it's wise to at least take a cursory glance.
