Wacky Uses for Household items

My wife bookmarked a website that is suitably named, “Wacky Uses”. On their site they list a series of everyday consumer products and after a quick click, they share a handful of strange things that you can use that product for.

For example:

If I were to click on Cheerios (yes, the breakfast cereal) I would get this list of odd things to do with Cheerios:

  • Relieve itching from chicken pox, poison ivy, poison oak, or pain from sunburn. Pour two cups Cheerios in a blender and blend into a fine powder on medium-high speed.
Put the powdered Cheerios into a warm bath and soak in the oats for thirty minutes. It’s a soothing oatmeal bath.
  • Give yourself a moisturizing facial. Make a paste from ground-up Cheerios, lemon juice, and honey. Apply to face, let sit for ten minutes, then rinse with warm water.
  • Relieve dry, chapped hands. Pour one cup of Cheerios in a blender and blend into a very fine powder. Empty the powder into a large bowl. Rub your chapped hands in the powder, gently removing the top layer of dead skin cells. Rinse with cool water, pat dry, and then apply hand cream.

It’s actually pretty cool reading because these are things that you would have never thought of. In total they have close to 50 different products so I am quite positive there is something there for everyone.
