Reminder: Get your $30 from the IRS for Long Distance Tax Amendment

The Internal Revenue Service, affectionately known as the IRS, is returning $30-$60 to each person/household that paid for Long Distance phone service between March of 2003 and July of 2006. This should probably amount to over 90% of the homes in America.

This policy was passed as the U.S. government recently concluded that the Spanish-American War of 1898 was indeed over and that we no longer had to fund the battle through a federal excise tax placed on phone service. I for one am happy to see the end of a hard fought war.

Print this out and stick it with your receipts or do something so you can remember to collect your $!!
