Jalapenyo Video eCards - Free through Aug 1, cheap after

One of my favorite blogs (ParentHacks) was tipped to a great new service. Jalapenyo is an e-card service that goes above and beyond what you have seen in the past. Basically it allows you to include your videos into the cards so when you are sending Aunt Betty a 'We miss you" card, you can insert a video of little Johnny taking his first steps.

Upload is simple (this service is specifically geared toward families). Each video e-card usually costs 99 cents, and can be shared with up to ten people. This is a major bargain when you consider that standard Hallmark fare (plus postage) will set you back $3-4 each.

BUT, because Olivia (of Jalapenyo) is so generous and Parent Hacks readers are so deserving, video e-cards are free through August 1st, 2006. F-R-E-E. So, fire up those new digital videocams and give it a try. Grandma will love you for it.

ParentHacks generally has 5-10 really good ideas each week, so be sure to visit them if you have kids. Also, here is the link to their Jalapenyo post if you want to read that.
